The USGA Rules of Golf ( the “Rules’) govern all play except as modified by Local Rule. The relief provided after each Local Rule is a summary of the relief provided under the Rules and is provided only for convenience and ease of reference. The player should refer to the Rules for specific relief provided in any given situation.
HOLE # 1.
POWER, CABLE AND TELEPHONE LINES:
If a player’s ball strikes an elevated power, cable or telephone line at the left side of the hole, the stroke must be canceled and replayed without penalty as nearly as possible from the spot where the previous stroke was made Appendix 1, Part B, 6(b)3. (See also Rule 20-5, How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a; How to Drop; and Rule 20-2b, Where to Drop).
OUT OF BOUNDS: USGA RULE 27
Left Side of Hole
A player’s ball that lies on or beyond entrance road at left side of hole through and beyond the green is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. (See also Rule 20-5, How to Proceed; Rule 20- 2a, How to Drop; and Rule 20-2b, Where to Drop).
Right Side of Hole
On the right side of hole, a player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the white stake starting at the right back corner of the tee and extending to the white stake at the right front corner of the tee and running along the white stakes on the right side of the first hole to the last white stake by the right greenside bunker, then extending across the 18th hole to a white stake at the left front corner of the 18th tee, and then extending back across the front of the 18th tee to a white stake at the right front corner of the fence between the first green and 18th tee, and then extending to the white stake at the opposite end of the fence, is out of bounds. (The 18th tee is OUT of bounds). Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. A player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the white stakes at rear of green is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. A player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the white stakes at the left side of hole is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. HAZARD: USGA RULE 26
Pond in front of tee is a lateral water hazard. If a ball is lost in a lateral water hazard the player may take relief under penalty of one stroke. See Rule 26- 1 for relief options. (See also Rule 20-5, How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a, How to Drop).
STONE BULKHEAD
Stone bulkhead over drainage pipe at edge of pond is an integral part of the course. No relief is permitted.

OBSTRUCTIONS: USGA RULE 24
The drain pipe going under the entrance road in the left rough approximately 30 yards short of the green is an immovable obstruction. Player may lift and drop ball without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. HAZARD: USGA RULE 26
Pond on right of green is a lateral water hazard. If a ball is lost in a lateral water hazard, the player may take relief under penalty of one stroke. See Rule 26-1 for relief options. (See also Rule 20-5, How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a, How to Drop and Rule 20-2b, Where to Drop).
STONE BULKHEAD
The stone bulkhead over the double drain at edge of the pond is an integral part of the course. No relief is permitted.
CREEK/DITCH
The creek/ditch in the left rough just short of the green is a lateral water hazard. If a ball is lost in a lateral water hazard, the player may take relief under penalty of one stroke. See Rule 26-1 for relief options. (See also Rule 20-5, How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a, How to Drop; and Rule 20-2b, Where to Drop).
STONE BULKHEAD
The stone bulkhead over the drain pipe on each end of the creek/ditch is an integral part of the course. No relief is permitted.
FLOWERBEDS
PLAY IS PROHIBITED FROM ALL FLOWERBEDS. All flowerbeds are ground under repair from which play is prohibited. If a player’s ball lies in a flowerbed or if the flowerbed interferes with the player’s stance or the area of the player’s intended swing, the player MUST TAKE RELIEF. USGA Rules Appendix 1, Part B, 1a. The player’s ball must be lifted and
dropped without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. (See also Rule 20-25 How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a How to Drop; and Rule 20-2b Where to Drop).

Left Side of Hole
A player’s ball that lies on or beyond entrance road at left side of hole is out of bounds. Right Side of Hole
A player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the white stakes on right side of hole behind 14th green and to the left of 15th tee is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. A player’s ball that lies beyond the stonewall at the left side of the hole is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. OBSTRUCTIONS: (TELEPHONE POLE GUY WIRES): USGA RULE 24-2b
Telephone pole guy wires at left side of hole near the green are an immovable obstruction. Player may lift and drop ball without penalty within one club-length of an not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. OUT OF BOUNDS: USGA RULE 27
A player’s ball that lies on or beyond service road on the left side of hole up to the first white stake near the green, is out of bounds. At the green, a player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the white stakes on the left side of and behind the green is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. ABNORMAL GROUND CONDITIONS: USGA RULE 25.
Disturbed ground condition caused by collection of water in the left rough approximately 150 yards from the tee situated between the solitary tree in the left rough near the fairway and the service road on the left side of the hole is an abnormal ground condition. Player may lift and drop ball without penalty within one club- length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. HOLE # 10.
OUT OF BOUNDS: USGA RULE 27
A player’s ball that lies on or beyond the exit road to the left of hole and behind the green is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. OBSTRUCTIONS: USGA RULE 24
Boulders along the left side of hole adjacent to exit road behind the 11th tee and extending behind the 10th green are to be treated as immovable obstructions Player may lift and drop ball without penalty within one club- length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief (See also Rule 20-25 How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a How to Drop; and Rule 20-2b Where to Drop).

If a player’s ball is in or lost in the water hazard, the player may take relief by dropping a ball in the designated drop area under penalty of one stroke in addition to the other relief provided under Rule 26. LEFT TEE
From left tee, pond is a lateral water hazard (If a ball is lost in a water hazard, the player may take relief under penalty of one stroke. See Rule 26-1 for relief options. (See also Rule 20-2a how to drop, and Rule 20-2b and Rule 20-5 where to drop).

OUT OF BOUNDS: USGA RULE 27
A player’s ball that lies on or beyond exit road at the right side of the hole and on or behind the service road to the rear of the green is out of bounds. (Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played). HAZARD: USGA RULE 26
From the tee, the pond is a water hazard. If a player’s ball is in or lost in the water hazard, the player may take relief by dropping a ball in the designated drop area under penalty of one stroke in addition to the other relief provided under Rule 26. CEMETERY
PLAY IS PROHIBITED FROM THE CEMETERY. The cemetery within the boundary of the split rail fence is ground under repair from which play is prohibited. If a player’s ball lies in the cemetery, the player MUST TAKE RELIEF. USGA Rules, Appendix 1, Part B, 1a. The player’s ball must be lifted and dropped without penalty within one club-length of and not

A player’s ball lying on the service road running through the hole is entitled to – relief without penalty. Player may lift and drop ball without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. A player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the white stakes on the right side of the hole near the cabin, is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. HOLE # 17.
OUT OF BOUNDS: USGA RULE 27
A player’s ball that lies on or beyond the service road on the right side of the hole or on or beyond the road to the pool and tennis area on the left side of the hole is out of bounds. A players ball that lies on or beyond the white painted line at the entrance road behind the green or on or beyond the white painted line on the service road to the right of the green or lies beyond the margin of the white stakes on the right side of the hole behind the 7th tee, is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. NOTE:
The service road behind the green between the white painted line at the entrance road and the white painted line on the service road to the right of the green is an integral part of the course and is in play. Play the ball where it lies (Ref Rule 13). There is no free drop from the service road. If a player’s ball lies on the service road behind the green between the white painted lines, the ball must be played as it lies unless the player takes an unplayable lie under penalty of one stroke (Ref. Rule 28).

WATER HAZARD

LEFT SIDE OF HOLE
A player’s ball that lies on or beyond road to pool and tennis area on left side of hole extending from the tee to the first metal POST for the chain fence (next to pump house) is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. (See also Rule 20-25 How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a How to Drop; and Rule 20-2b Where to Drop).
A player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the metal POSTS for the chain fence adjacent to the exit road on the left side of the hole extending from the first metal POST next to the pump house through the last metal POST behind the green, is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. (See also Rule 20-25 How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a How to Drop; and Rule 20- 2b Where to Drop).
A player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the last metal POST behind the green to the white stake at the right rear corner of the first tee and then extending to the white stake at the right front corner of the first tee is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. (See also Rule 20-25 How to Proceed; Rule 20-2a How to Drop; and Rule 20-2b Where to Drop).
NOTE:
The metal POSTS define out of bounds and not the chain. An out of bounds marker is not an obstruction (USGA RULES, Def Obstruction) and therefore a player is not entitled to relief from the POSTS under USGA RULE 24.
Since the chain does not define out of bounds it is deemed an immovable obstruction. (USGA RULES, DEF OBSTRUCTIONS). A player may take relief without penalty from interference by an immovable obstruction under USGA Rule 24. Player may lift and drop ball without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. RIGHT SIDE OF HOLE
A player’s ball that lies beyond the margin of the white stakes along the right side of the hole is out of bounds. Player must play a ball under penalty of one stroke, as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played. NOTE:
The out of bounds starts with the first white stake located at the right corner of the fence between the tee and the first green and extends down the right side of the hole to the white stake at the second to the last pine tree near the green then extend diagonally across the first hole to the white stake at the telephone pole (which lies approximately 30 feet in front of the first tee) then extend diagonally back across the first hole to the white stake at the right front corner of the first tee.

Pump house, piping and driveway in pump house area are immovable obstructions. Player may lift and drop ball without penalty within one club- length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. 2. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS
Boulders adjacent to exit road on holes 10, 11 and 12, all birdhouses, fences (except those defining out of bounds), benches, ball washers, water fountains, telephone poles (including support wires), gazebo, fire hydrant, port a jons, water control boxes and covers, pump houses, power and utility boxes, sprinkler heads, distance markers, manhole covers, memorial markers, park and traffic signs, cart paths and stone barriers bordering cart paths are to be treated as immovable obstructions. In general, if such an obstruction interferes with a player’s stance or the area of the player’s intended swing, the player may lift the ball and drop it without penalty within one club-length and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. 3. FLOWERBEDS
PLAY IS PROHIBITED FROM ALL FLOWER BEDS. All flowerbeds are ground under repair from which play is prohibited. If a player’s ball lies in a flowerbed, or if a flowerbed interferes with the player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 25-1. The player’s ball must be lifted and dropped without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. USGA Rules, Appendix 1, Part B, 1a. 4. CEMETERY
PLAY IS PROHIBITED FROM THE CEMETERY. The cemetery on the 13th hole is ground under repair from which play is prohibited. If a player’s ball lies in the cemetery within the boundary of the split rail fence, the player must talk relief. The player’s ball must be lifted and dropped without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. USGA Rules, Appendix 1, Part B, 1a. 5. STONES IN BUNKER
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 24-1 applies). Appendix 1, Part A 5b and Part B 4 (Generally, the stone(s) may be removed. If the ball moves, it shall be replaced, and there is no penalty provided that the movement of the ball is directly attributable to the removal of the obstruction).
6. DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
A player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance- measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used. 7. CONSTRUCTION RULE
If a player’s ball lies on any area disturbed by construction, the player may mark, lift, clean and drop the ball without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief.
